In February 2023, Ukraine lost its domestic salt production sources, making the country entirely dependent on imports. The quality of imported salt was inconsistent, and its characteristics were unpredictable. This posed serious risks to Ukrainian manufacturers of food and industrial products, and also deprived consumers of access to reliable, safe domestically produced salt.
To change this situation, Ukrainian engineers, technologists, and entrepreneurs joined forces. We analyzed European best practices (from Germany, Spain, and France) and implemented our own engineering solutions for automation and quality control.
This is how the “Salt UA” brand was born—Ukraine’s first high-tech enterprise dedicated to the deep purification and adaptation of salt to international standards.
