The Black Sea Salt Plant participated in the Aquatherm Kyiv exhibition following the launch of its main production lines. The company introduced itself to the professional market as a Ukrainian manufacturer of food-grade and industrial salt.

Among the plant’s product lines is tableted salt for water treatment and water softening. This aligns with the themes of Aquatherm Kyiv: water supply, plumbing, and swimming pools.

“It’s important for us to make our presence known right now, because a few days ago we launched our main production lines in Chornomorsk. One of our product lines is tableted salt, which is used for water treatment and water softening. We are the only manufacturers of this product in Ukraine. We are interested in talking with end consumers and hearing about the challenges facing the Ukrainian market,” said Vitaliy Rudenko, CEO of the Chornomorsk Salt Plant.

Following the occupation of “Artemsol,” the Ukrainian salt market was left without a key industrial producer and became dependent on imports. The company cites product quality, the difficulty of monitoring it, and logistics as the main risks associated with this dependence.

The plant has a production capacity of 15,000 metric tons per month. This allows it to meet up to 75% of the Ukrainian market’s needs and to systematically handle large-scale deliveries across the country.

“Salt is a strategic product on which Ukraine’s economy depends. It is used in more than 180 industries—not just food production, but also the chemical industry. That is why it was a matter of principle for us to implement this salt production project in Ukraine,” said Vitaliy Rudenko.

Tetyana Mastyuk, head of the sales department at the Black Sea Salt Plant, also emphasized the importance of direct contact with partners.

“We want not only to showcase our products but also to meet our partners in person, get a feel for the market, and understand its needs. Today, a Ukrainian manufacturer offers the ability to guarantee product quality and stable supplies,” she said.

It should be noted that the Black Sea Salt Plant also has a memorandum of understanding with the Kuyalnik National Nature Park. The partnership focuses on removing excess salt from the estuary and reducing the salinity of the body of water.
